A: This means the key & ignition barrel are too worn out.
Q: How do I fix a worn out ignition barrel or worn out car key?
A: Few options. Replace the ignition barrel with a new one & have Locksmith re-code it to the normal key so it doesn’t have to be programmed to the car again.
Get a key cut to code, this will make the key back to original sizes, but keep in mind both lock & key ware out not just one. But this can get a lot of people over the line and last for years until the ignition barrel is too worn out.
On the 31st of December 2020, marks the end of Holden in Australia.
